Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, GBM, OC, O.Ont, JP

Professor and Dr. Tsui is a China-born Canadian geneticist. He grew up in Hongkong and joined the Department of Genetics of the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in 1981.A giant in the field of human genetics, Tsui’s discovery of the cystic fibrosis gene is a huge breakthrough. He received numerous honours and awards for his outstanding work.  Dr Tsui is inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame in 2012.
