First Chinese Canadian Federal Cabinet Minister
Michael Chong 莊文浩
Chong was born in Canada. His father is from Hongkong. He is the first male Chinese Canadian of Hongkong heritage to hold a Cabinet Minister Post in 2006. He was the President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada as well as the Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs. Chong is the current Conservative MP for Wellington-Halton Hills, Ontario.
